Computer scientist, working in biology.

I studied computer science in Istanbul and Munich. My first research years were in a robotics lab, writing real-time computer-vision code for image-guided biopsy robots. After that came deep learning for pharmaceutical quality control and multi-omics work in computational neuroscience.

I moved to Berlin for a PhD in computational biology at the Max Delbrück Center, working on spatial transcriptomics and the algorithms that reconstruct tissue structure from single-cell data. Both tools I worked on are open source and still in use.

Now I lead multi-omics projects in drug discovery, mentor junior scientists, and work between computational, experimental, and clinical teams. I'm open to roles that lean more toward ML engineering or research leadership, in biology or elsewhere.
